The Nines, formerly known as Nine Knights and Audi Nines, have unveiled the 2023 course renders for their highly anticipated event in Schilthorn, Switzerland. Now rebranded as “Swatch Nines,” the event is set to enthrall athletes and fans alike as the world’s best skiers, snowboarders, and mountain bikers gather for this unique media event from April 17th to April 22nd.
The Swatch Nines course boasts cutting-edge terrain park designs that push the boundaries of what’s possible. The event organizers have outdone themselves, crafting a course that promises to elevate the competition to a whole new level. You can expect appearances from legends like Jesper Tjäder, Anna Gasser, Andri Ragettli, Matej Svancer, Laurie Blouin and many many more.
The first feature, dubbed the “Formation Feature,” is a massive jump with multiple takeoffs expanding in all directions. This innovative design allows for several riders to launch simultaneously, making for a truly spectacular show. This feature is set to challenge competitors and provide a visual feast for the audience.
Further down the course, an ingenious multi-purpose structure combines tunnels, domes, and a complete skate bowl into a single, incredibly versatile package. This amorphous feature will have riders exploring new lines and combinations, offering near-infinite possibilities. The audience can expect the unexpected as competitors push the limits of creativity and skill in this groundbreaking event.
Given the integrated skate bowl, it’s expected to see renowned skateboarder Andy Anderson make an appearance at the event as well as MTB legend Sam Pilgrim, and BMX guru Matthias Dandois along side Erik Fedko. The Get Sendy team will also be present at Swatch Nines 2023, providing fans with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage through a YouTube video and live updates on Instagram. This additional coverage will offer a unique perspective on the event, giving fans an intimate look at the action and excitement.
